For Mark Hix’s second eponymous restaurant, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio took inspiration from Hix’s classic style of simple English cooking.

Located on Brewer Street, the ground floor was panelled in off-white painted oak, complimented by a high ceiling of painted tin from which hangs an array of bespoke mobiles created by stalwarts of the British art scene.

Further art can be found throughout the scheme with pieces by Tracey Emin, Gary Web, Damien Hirst and Sarah Lucas.

A long bar clad in pewter with decorative mirrors above was placed to reflect the oyster bar and crustacean display below, while downstairs, the club in the basement houses an array of vintage and reclaimed furniture inspired by Soho’s eclectic vibe.
