Situated off Sunset Boulevard, Mother Wolf is a playful Italian restaurant where theatre and relaxed dining is at the heart of the design.
Working with Chef Evan Funke and Ten Five Hospitality, MBDS was guided by three principles when designing LA’s latest restaurant.

Inspired by Italian craft and timeless style, Mother Wolf is an ode to the glamour and elegance of Italy’s design language. Citing Murano glass lighting, antique mirrors and Sienna marble table tops, every aspect of the restaurant’s interiors connects to the country’s design heritage. References to Gio Ponti and Carlo Scarpa can be found within the dining chairs and central bar whilst a trompe l'oeil scene depicts lemons and pomegranates; an ode to the chic riviera of Italy’s coastline.
Theatre and a sense of occasion has also been a central aspect to the creation of Mother Wolf. Keen to bring a focus to Chef Evan Funke culinary style, an open-plan kitchen, central to the restaurant, was designed. The full working kitchen is open to diners whilst a pizza bar with wood-burning oven sits alongside the central bar. A central open wood-fired grill also takes centre stages and helps to create a sense of drama and entertainment for diners.
