The classic grill reimagined, Baur's brings together traditional brasserie style with contemporary flare. Inspired by the history and iconography of Baur au Lac, MBDS has helped usher Baur's into the modern day thanks to a bold colour palette, chic finishes and a world-class art collection. Having arrived via a grand marble staircase complete with graphic wallpaper, guests will arrive at the bar lounge area, where comfortable, bespoke armchairs and sofas provide a welcome spot for enjoying pre-dinner drinks. Fabric wall panels in tones of red and gold contrast with timber detailing whilst oversized Murano glass chandeliers hang overhead, creating a relaxed and intimate ambience. A statement bar crafted from red marble and antique mirror lends a touch of glamour.

Moving through to the main dining space a warm colour palette of burgundy red and soft green is blended effortlessly with rich materiality to create an animated ambience. This, combined with world-class art helps Baur’s redefine the modern European brasserie. A mixture of fixed leather banquette seating with button detailing and free-standing bespoke dining chairs with contrasting fabric finish, create a restaurant floor that welcomes diners.

An impressive decorative lacquered ceiling with contrasting fabric inserts offset four large Murano glass chandeliers, creating a sense of grandeur and warmth. Frosted glass panels are used to subtly divide tables, ensuring an intimate ambience is retained at all times whilst a mixture of low-level table lighting, ceiling lights and chandeliers enhances the cosy and familiar atmosphere.
